Pandora was created by the gods as the first woman. They gave her many gifts, including beauty, intelligence, and curiosity. She also received a sealed jar (often called "Pandora's box").

The gods warned Pandora never to open it. However, her curiosity became too strong, and she lifted the lid. Immediately, all the world's troubles such as sickness, pain, greed, and sorrow escaped and spread across the Earth.

Panicked, Pandora quickly closed the jar, but it was too late. Only one thing remained inside: hope. This meant that although people would face many hardships, they would always have hope to help them endure.

Moral: Curiosity can have consequences, but even in difficult times, hope remains.
