Somewhere along the way, you’ll meet someone you never planned to — and they’ll leave a everlasting impact on you. I recently spoke to someone who left me convinced that they are 1 in a million. It’s either that or we both come from 2 different worlds, pathways that have never crossed. Intelligent, articulate, creative, and unmistakably genuine — free of social-climbing and being overly performative. This person makes me want to be better version of myself than I was yesterday — to elevate myself to their level, expanding my vocab so I can express thoughts with greater precision, a drive to just be better. Most importantly, just being human — something we often forget how to do these days. The moment we start believing we’re superior to others is the moment we start to lose ourselves.
