The Story of King Solomon and the Two Mothers

King Solomon was known as one of the wisest kings in the Bible. One day, two women came before him, both claiming to be the mother of the same baby.

Each woman insisted that the baby belonged to her. There was no way to know who was telling the truth.

Solomon thought carefully and ordered that the baby be divided in two, with each woman receiving half.

The first woman agreed to the decision. However, the other woman immediately begged Solomon to give the baby to the other woman instead, so that the child would live.

Solomon realized that the woman who was willing to give up the baby to save its life must be the true mother. He gave the baby to her.

Moral: True love puts the wellbeing of others before your own desires.
