Sometimes its a blessing & a curse to have good memory. People are thankful that you listen & remember but scars from the past never seem to heal once inflicted. I find it difficult to navigate “ships” because trust is something that people can’t easily earn from me. I isolate myself from people that genuinely care, I self sabotage something good because I’m too caught up in my own reality. Reassurance helps but how much of that can people really offer before it becomes an inconvenience. There is a sense of satisfaction to just drift away alone where no one can reach you than to feel like anchor. I’m pretty sure some of you guys can relate.
